ABOUT
US
Gerald Carnazzo is a board certified Family Medicine physician
and Fellow of the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Carnazzo
received his baccalaureate degree in Psychology from the
University of Southern California (USC), and his Doctor
of Medicine degree from Creighton University. He
completed his internship and tour of duty both at the United States Naval Hospital.
Dr. Carnazzo
became a Staff Physician at CHOMP (Community Hospital of the
Monterey Peninsula) in 1972 and spent the next 30 years
cultivating a private family practice until CHOMP retained him
exclusively as an Emergency Room Physician in 2001.
Highlighted among
Dr. Carnazzo’s list of career accomplishments is his tenure as
past Chairman of the Departments of Internal Medicine and Family
Practice at CHOMP, and his appointment as Medical Director of
the Department of Employee Health.
After 6 years of
practicing Emergency Medicine, he is pleased to get back to
doing what he’s always done best ~ taking care of, and sharing
in the lives of patients who place their trust in his skills,
knowledge and experience in all aspects of Primary Care.
Married over 30 years, Dr. Carnazzo is an avid tennis player and
is father to Jeff Carnazzo, Head Football Coach at Palma and
Daniel Carnazzo, a Corrections Officer in Monterey County.
