Photofacial (IPL/OPL): Photofacial laser skin rejuvenation is the best “non-downtime” laser procedure in the world and is used for diminishing and removing pigmented lesions such as, freckles, brown spots and age spots. Pigmented lesions are caused by sun damage, hormone fluctuations and aging. The Photofacial procedure uses pulses of visible light to effectively remove facial redness and freckles as well as grow fresh collagen and soften wrinkles. Laser Hair Removal: Laser Hair Removal (LHR) by Cutera® is FDA approved for permanent hair removal, and is the most effective treatment on the market today to remove unwanted hair anywhere on the body. Unlike other name brand lasers, the Cutera® laser is safe to use on all skin types. The key to successful laser hair removal is to deactivate the entire hair follicle and germinative cells in the hair follicle, while preserving the surrounding healthy tissue. Laser hair removal is only effective when the hair is in the active growth stage, known as the “anagen” phase. Because the anagen phase occurs in each hair follicle at different times, multiple treatments must be scheduled over several weeks or months apart. To achieve a satisfactory level of hair clearance, 3-6 treatments are typically required.
