ABOUT
US
Lola Steinbaum is a Board Certified Physician of
Internal Medicine, a Member of the American College of
Physicians and a special pioneer in women's wellness and weight
management.
She received her baccalaureate degree in Chemistry with
Honors from the University of Michigan, and her Medical Degree,
Cum Laude, from the Harvard School of Medicine.
Before completing her residency at Stanford University Hospital,
Dr. Steinbaum completed a two year tour of the Third World where
she worked with international agencies to provide much needed
health care and medical relief to underdeveloped communities. After completion of
her relief work, Dr.
Steinbaum studied Cardiology and ICU medicine at the prestigious
Hospital Laennec in Paris, France.
After one year in Emergency Room medicine, she
began her career in private practice in 1978, then took a
maternity leave of absence in 1997, and resumed
consultative internal medicine in 2002.
Among Dr. Steinbaum's many professional
accomplishments was her appointment as Chief of
Medicine at the Community Hospital of Monterey
(CHOMP), and her subsequent tenure as Chief of Staff
in 1992-1993.
Dr. Steinbaum's phenomenal professional background and
experiences have shaped her world view of
medicine and humanity. She values diversity and desires to work
with her patients to create their own optimal health care
choices.
